This Level 2 SIA Approved Door Supervisors Refresher training is a compulsory 2 day additional training in order to renew your SIA license. The SIA has changed the way that Door Supervisor Licenses are renewed from the 1st of April 2025.
This 2 Day classroom ‘Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors in the Private Security Industry (Refresher RQF)’ course is designed for Security Operatives who currently hold a license from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to work as a Door Supervisor and need to be bought up to date with the NEW Licence Linked qualification requirements.
The SIA have stipulated that you Must be in possession of an approved First Aid Qualification with a minimum of 12 months left to run, on the first day of the course.

This course is 2-days in total ( 3 with the first aid) You will also be required to register and complete a video assisted eLearning course – ACT (action counters terrorism) this is part of the self study work for ‘The Principles of Terror Threat Awareness in the Private Security Industry’ module as well as Self Study for ‘Physical Intervention, Spiking Awareness and Keeping Vulnerable people safe.
This qualification is assessed by practical demonstrations, questions and answers and 2 multiple choice exams.
This course is made up of 3 modules:
Principles of working as a door supervisor - 35 question multiple choice exam - 71% correct to pass
Application of Physical intervention knowledge - 30 question multiple choice exam - 80% correct to pass.
Practical assessments in Searching and Physical intervention are a pass or fail and are assessed / graded by your instructor
Successful candidates will receive a ‘ Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors in the Private Industry (Refresher RQF)’ qualification, which sits on the regulations Framework (RQF).
